On Easter Sunday an Easter-themed egg hunt took place on Fore Street where children had the chance to win a delicious chocolate prize. Clue sheets were available from Belushi’s bar and restaurant. There was a community market due to take place however this was postponed due to weather and technical difficulties.
11th to 18th April Newquay’s second Art8 Festival took place throughout the town centre with a range of exhibitions and workshops ranging from painting and sculpture to music, dance and drama. Newquay BID again supported the event by contributing towards the cost of publicity materials.
Taking place on May 12th Newquay BID provided funding for PR and printed promotional material for Newquay’s first Feel Good Festival showcasing a range of fitness professionals in the Newquay area and encouraging visitors to the event to come and join
in with various demonstrations throughout the day.
Over the 14th and 15th June the UK Pro Surfing Tour joined forces with Newquay BID to ensure the future of the Europe’s only night surf competition. BID provided sponsorship to fund the infrastructure of the event.
Newquay BID has contributed to the design of the Carnival brochure, banners and posters for the Newquay’s first week long Carnival. Newquay BID has also funded the appearance of Peppa Pig in Newquay’s town centre on the final day of the Carnival.
Newquay BID will once again be supporting Newquay’s Fish Festival (6th-8th September) offering financial support for the print and design for promotional materials and local, regional and national PR.
