Working with First Kernow Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) is delivering an additional project to brighten up the bus station and make our visitors more welcome.

From this week there will be 50 vinyl posters installed into existing shelters. Working together, First Kernow have produced some ‘vintage’ inspired travel designs to encourage visitors and residents to explore Cornwall whilst the BID has seized the opportunity to grow its digital following for Newquay by creating a series of ‘Love Newquay’ posters showcasing its lifestyle and beaches.

Eve Wooldridge BID Manager says “whilst the posters have a purpose they are also playing a big part in improving the overall image of the station. The lamppost banners went up a few weeks back, the welcome sign is due to be installed and we are working in partnership now to look at planters for next spring. These low cost projects are really effective in improving the overall image of Newquay and are essential especially on our gateways. We want to thank First Kernow for being so responsive to improvements suggested.”

Marc Morgan Huws, Operations Manager at First Kernow said “It’s been fantastic to see the work of the BID and the achievements we are making as a partnership. We are committed to ensuring that our stations are welcoming to our customers and small steps like these will make a big difference”.
