Cornwall Council can confirm that the access road to Great Western Beach, Newquay will be open to pedestrians over the Easter break. The works to the access road has proved quite challenging, and the recent weather hasn’t helped, however Cormac has been able to ensure pedestrian access will be in place for the duration of the Easter Holidays.

After Easter Cormac will return on the 11th of April for two days to complete the works but will maintain pedestrian access at all times.

Local Councillor Geoff Brown said, “I would like to express my appreciation to Cormac for the excellent work that has been carried out on a very challenging project. Whilst it has been frustrating for the public to see the beach closed during 2015 the essential repairs should ensure the long term viability of Gt Western beach for years to come.”
