The Event will begin at 6.30pm (for the debate to start at 7pm) and is to be chaired by Rachel Craze, Chairman of the NCCT. The BID and NCCT are inviting businesses to the event to offer the opportunity for them to hear the views of candidates or parties standing for election.
At 7pm, following refreshments, candidates will have 3 minutes to introduce themselves and say why they are standing for Parliament. The pre submitted questions will then begin at 7.30pm for 1 hour followed by questions from the floor (directed to the Chairman).
Rachel Craze, Chair of NCCT said “we are so pleased to be hosting this event with the BID, it’s a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to come and along and question the parliamentary candidates first hand. We urge businesses to support this event to ensure that we are getting the best support for local businesses and the local economy”.
Kate Cortez, Newquay BID Assistant Manager commented “This is an important event for businesses within the town centre, it’s giving them the chance to make sure they know exactly how the plans of each Parliamentary Candidate will affect Newquay and the town.”
“The BID and Chamber of Commerce would also like to say a big thank you to Howard Young for offering us the Hotel Bristol to use as the venue for the event”
