Hitting the shelves this week, the second issue of Seven, Newquay’s brand new beach and lifestyle magazine, is set to showcase the highlights of the town out of season.
Seven – named after the town’s TR7 postcode and its seven beautiful beaches – is packed full of budget-busting ideas for winter work-outs, cosy meals and quirky fashion-finds, as well as featuring articles on Newquay’s hidden gems, its gig rowing heritage and an insight into its most enigmatic artist. There’s also a run down on the top spa treatments in the town, the best fish and chip joints and a selection of places to gorge on delicious comfort food to combat the cold weather.
The magazine, which has been created by Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) and published by Newquay-based Muse Media, made its debut in June, receiving fantastic feedback. Proving popular with locals and visitors alike, 15,000 copies of the free magazine flew off the shelves, giving a unique insight into the real Newquay, while promoting the huge range of things to see and do in the town.
Newquay BID Manager Eve Wooldridge said: ‘We’re delighted with the second issue of Seven – it really highlights what a fantastic place Newquay is to live in and to visit, particularly in the autumn and winter. We’re really looking forward to hearing any feedback, as well as ideas for the next issue.’
Issue three is set to be released in May 2013. Businesses are encouraged to get in contact with Newquay BID if they wish to get involved with Seven or receive free copies to distribute to their customers, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
