Newquay’s Music and Ale Festival promises a heady blend of great live local music, Christmas cheer and plenty of beer from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th November. The much-loved local shindig is coming to you to you from Newquay BID and the organisers of the Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival. Following the success of last year’s event, which drew hundreds of people to the town centre to taste an array of festive ales and enjoy some of Cornwall’s best musical talent, this year’s festival has something for everyone. Complete with tasty street food vendors and a festive craft market.
The highlight of the weekend is certainly set to be Backbeat Sound System one of Cornwall’s best bands, headlining the festival on Saturday evening. The 8-piece reggae outfit has played on stages across the UK, including 18 of the most prestigious British festivals. Their upbeat reggae sound is sure to get audiences in the Christmas party mood.
Other headliners throughout the weekend include Black Friday and Rudi’s Message on Friday night, Antimatador who will be warming up the stage for Back Beat Sound System on the Saturday and Andy Quick Music – (Land of the Giants) and Cyderfex on the Sunday evening. The weekend will be full of great music with the days full of everything from acoustic sets to the Newquay Rowing Club Singers.
