The egg hunt will take place between Saturday 28th March and Sunday 12th April. Following a map and set of clues, participants will need to navigate their way from Cliff Road to Fore Street to locate the 12 eggs hidden in businesses throughout the town. Once they have located each hidden egg they can collect a special stamp from each place to add to their map.
At the end of the trail, participants are encouraged to hand in their completed map to the Tourist Information Centre to claim their Easter themed sticker and special Easter treat. Each participant will also be entered into a draw which takes place on Sunday 12th April to win a family ticket generously donated by newquay Zoo.
The eggs have all been created by local children from Newquay Trenance Learning Academy. The colourful and eye catching eggs are being hidden in a number of BID businesses throughout the town centre.
Alice Beard, Newquay BID Marketing and Event Co-ordinator, says: “The Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza is a great free activity for families to take part in this Easter. The BID is certain that with the added incentives of stickers and chocolate, we’ll have lots of eager participants visiting the town centre during the holiday period. Stamps don’t have to be collected all in one go and we’re encouraging people to make multiple visits into town during the fortnight. We are also delighted to work with the wonderful Trenance Learning Academy once again.”
Maps will be available to pick up from numerous sites across town including the Tourist Information Centre and local businesses. If you would like more information on the Easter Egg Hunt please contact the Newquay BID on 01637 498599 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Download the map here.
