Due to be distributed mid-April, the guide will be delivered directly to over 17,000 TR7, TR8 and TR9 residential postcodes, as well as to Newquay’s Tourist Information Centre. Aimed at visitors and residents alike, it will showcase the exciting programme of events that are taking place in Newquay from May to September 2014.
A key focus for the BID is the supporting and running of events that drive footfall into the town year-round, with a key focus on maximising traffic in the busy summer months. Newquay has a unique and popular event offering, ranging from international surfing competitions to family friendly fetes; from music festivals that pull in some of the biggest artists in popular music to Newquay’s much loved Fish Festival, and it is these quality events that the guide will highlight.
Alice Beard, Marketing and PR Assistant at the BID says: “We know that the high season is a key time for many businesses across the town and so it makes sense to do all we can to attract visitors here during the summer. There are so many diverse and engaging things happening in Newquay and by producing a summer events guide in advance, the BID can fully showcase these to the town’s advantage.
“We are very excited to be repeating popular BID events such as the Beach Cricket and Big Sea Side Screening this year. These and other great events are a sure-fire way to encourage maximum footfall into key areas of Newquay.”
Newquay BID is asking all businesses in and around Newquay to send any details of their events to ensure that they are represented within the guide. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call the BID office on 01637498599. Please submit your listing by March 10th at the very latest.
