Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) hosted the third Zombie Crawl last year, when more than 500 children dressed in their scariest Hallowe’en costumes took to the streets of Newquay looking for ghouls. With a spooky zombie parade, ghastly dancing, freakish face-painting and an appearance from the UK’s most famous and favourite Robot, Titan, the BID expects 2015 to be even bigger and better than last year.
Children aged 5 to 16 are encouraged to join in the strange goings-on, which will start with a first appearance from Titan at 1.30pm on Newquay’s Piazza opposite the Lighthouse Cinema. At 2pm devilish ghouls are invited to the Cribbar for some zombie-tastic dancing from 3D Dance Company. There will also be face painting in Whiskers coffee bar and Heart FM will be set up on Gover Lane for free face painting. Plus have your photo taken in the campervan photo-booth. At 3pm they will parade along Bank Street and East Street in their best outfits to a scary Hallowe’en soundtrack. The parade will finish at the Hotel Victoria where at 4pm, the children will join Titan for an exciting robotic show. The Hotel Victoria will also be hosting a children’s disco after the final Titan show, plus for any budding Rugby fans Berties will be screening the Rugby World Cup final next door.
Alice Beard, Marketing and Events Co-ordinator for the Newquay BID said: “We hope that lots of brave children will dress up to join us again for this year’s Hallowe’en celebration. The 2014 Zombie Crawl was a huge success and great fun for children and families!”
Alice continues: “We would also like to invite businesses in newquay that are holding their own Hallowe’en events on this weekend to let us know so we can help ot promote them alongside the BID’s Zombie Crawl. Please email me at email@example.com with information about your events.”
All kids taking part in the Zombie Crawl must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01637 498599. You can also visit the Newquay BID website .
