The eye catching advert with the tag line: “Explore, Experience & Enjoy: Escape to Newquay” was implemented to encourage visitors and potential visitors to come and enjoy Newquay for all that his has to offer. The advert will be placed in 8 key spots in the services, the footfall across Exeter services throughout the full duration will be 980,000.
In addition to the campaign to attract visitors to Newquay the BID has also worked with the Headland Hotel, the Fish House – Fistral, Fistral Surf School and Newquay Zoo to give away a weekend break in Newquay. The aim of this is to not only create a higher awareness of the businesses involved but to also direct those entering the competition to the Love Newquay Facebook page, therefore enabling the BID to further promote all of the great things that Newquay and it’s businesses has to offer.
Alice Beard, Marketing and Event Co-ordinator said: “The aim of the campaign is to target visiting the South West who might consider Newquay as a potential holiday destination. We saw a unique opportunity to help boost higher foot fall to Newquay over the coming Easter Holidays by highlighting all that’s great about Newquay. Newquay has something to offer visitors whether they’re searching for a relaxing spa weekend by the coast or an adrenaline-fuelled weekend of coasteering, and this is the message that we are promoting to potential visitors.”
