The Newquay Business Improvement District is encouraging businesses to get involved and hold their own workshops, implement great offers and engage with residents and visitors to come into Newquay’s celebrate all that’s great about its high street. With a strong focus on engaging with children and families, it’s hoped that the week will help to encourage increased foot fall into Newquay’s town centre during half term week.
The shop window competition will give all businesses in the town a chance to enter a “Halloween” decorated window in to a competition and the lucky business to win will be given a free advertising slot on the Pirate FM Love Cornwall directory. Newquay BID businesses that are interested in entering must contact Newquay BID before October 10th.
Newquay BID is also looking for approximately 5-10 local businesses that would be interested in hosting an activity or workshop on their premises during ‘Love Newquay’ Week. The activity or workshop could be cake decorating, arts and crafts, or another creative idea, and it can be suitable for adults and/or children. There is a small pot of funding available towards basic resources (e.g. art supplies or ingredients) as it is intended that the activities are available to the public for free or very little cost.
If you have or are part of a business in Newquay that would be interested in being part of ‘Love Newquay’ Week, please contact Newquay BID as soon as possible on 01637 498599 or by emailing email@example.com.
