Newquay SignageNewquay Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting an open afternoon to consult with local people about the content for the new town-wide signage programme. The drop-in event is at Newquay Sports Centre on Tuesday 14th October and runs between 1.30 and 6.30 in the afternoon.

Newquay BID, Newquay Town Council and Newquay Regeneration Forum are investing in exciting new signage for the town to replace some tired and damaged signage and to make it easier to find your way in Newquay.

The signs to be installed include welcome boards, direction posts and poster cabinets and will be clearly identifiable with the Newquay brand.  Models of the signs and a large scale map showing locations will be displayed at the event to help make clear what the plans are.

Kate Cortez, Manager for Newquay BID said: ‘This consultation is important to Newquay and to us at the BID because we want the signage to work for the town, both for residents and visitors. This is about improving the visitor experience in Newquay but it can be tailored to the needs of the town.’

Newquay Town Clerk, Andy Curtis said: ‘It is really important that people come along to this consultation so that the new signs represent the best of Newquay. We are looking forward to hearing people’s ideas and stories.’
