Pentire Hotel, Tues 30 April.
Newquay BID (Business Improvement District) is demystifying the world of digital marketing by offering social media seminars to businesses within the BID boundary.
Digital marketing professionals from Brian Dennehy & Associates, www.briandennehy.co.uk, will be running two seminars on Tues 30 April at 11am and 2.30pm, for just £10 per delegate. There are 40 places available for BID members that will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The seminars will consist of a two hour presentation which will address some of the following questions around social media: ‘What is digital marketing and how can it benefit your business?’ and ‘What is relevant for your business and how do you utilise the platforms that are right for you?’
Digital marketing channels are invaluable tools for small businesses which can have a significant impact on turnover. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google are all key platforms, which when correctly exploited can successfully enhance marketing activities without increasing the budget.
At the end of the session each participant will be given a document outlining the points discussed and tools enabling them to audit their current digital marketing activities.
Eve Wooldridge, BID Manager said: “There is a huge proportion of businesses that do not use social media or are finding that what they are doing is not having the desired effect. The aim of this course is to encourage those BID members that are not actively engaging in digital marketing to do so and experience some of the benefits it can bring”.
Eve continues. “We want to shed a light on some of the myths about social media, offer guidance on the different platforms and give BID businesses the means to better measure their online marketing activities. This exact seminar was run a few weeks ago for businesses across Cornwall and the feedback has been excellent, so the BID thought it would be really beneficial if we could offer it to BID businesses at minimal cost.”
