It may still be August but the Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) team is busy making plans for their autumn event’s calendar. In addition to supporting many community events, the Newquay BID will also be hosting the brand new Newquay Business Week, taking place from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd October, Love Newquay Week Saturday 24th to Friday 30th October, the Newquay BID Zombie Crawl Saturday 31st October and the BID’s Festive Festival and Music and Ale Festival Friday 27th to Sunday 29th November.

There are plenty of ways for BID businesses to get involved in this year’s events and the BID is inviting businesses to get in contact with them if you have an interest in taking part in any of the afore mentioned events.

Newquay Business Week will be taking place in businesses throughout Newquay and the week is for every business type – one man band electricians, web designers working from home, inventors, retailers, attractions, accommodation providers or larger businesses with many employees. The BID is also looking for businesses that may hold their own events that can be intertwined with the already excellent programme of events. The maximum price for a session is £2 and FREE to all BID members.

The aim of Love Newquay Week is to introduce residents and visitors to businesses that they may have not ventured to before or to help existing businesses reward customers for their loyalty and ongoing support. The week will be jam packed with FREE workshops, entertainment and Halloween festivities. The BID is looking for businesses in the town centre that would like to host a workshop or is already running an event that they would like included in the Love Newquay Week programme of events. Plus they will be looking for 12 businesses to take part in a spooky Halloween themed children’s trail and any businesses that would like to take part in the Halloween shop window competition.

The Newquay BID Zombie Crawl will begin at 2.30pm with a performance from Titan the Robot and at 3pm there will be Halloween themed workshops in town centre businesses. The parade will begin at 4pm followed by a second show from Titan the Robot show at the Hotel Victoria. Please let the BID know if you are a business on or close to the Gover Lane area of the town that would like to host a face painter or other Halloween workshop; or if you are holding your own Halloween event and would like it to be promoted alongside the Zombie Crawl.

The Newquay BID’s Festive Festival Lantern Parade will take place on Friday 29th November, where Father Christmas and his reindeer will once again be returning to Newquay. The BID will be looking for 4 to 6 businesses to hold Christmas workshops throughout the Saturday and Sunday to add to the Christmas festivities, as well as any business that would like to take part in the festive shop window competition and festive children’s town trail.

If you are a BID member and would like to get involved in any of the events mentioned above please contact the Newquay BID on 01637 498599 or email
