Newquay BID are delighted to announce our very first ‘Wellbeing Week’ – 5 days of free workshops and wellbeing sessions designed to help you focus on the wellbeing of yourselves, your businesses, and your customers!

Workshop Details & How To Book

Monday 13th March: Breathwork For Resilience and Focus with Anthony Mullally

Anthony Mullally is a recently retired professional rugby player whose playing career consisted of 200+ super league games, 2 world cups and a grand final trophy. Towards the end of his career he started training in breathwork for his own performance and then went on to become an Advanced Breathwork Coach with Oxygen Advantage.

Join Anthony for a 1.5 hour workshop aimed to provide tools to cultivate resilience using the breath as the modality. During this workshop Anthony will take you into a deep dive into physiology behind respiration and how breathing optimally can help manage stress/anxiety, improve concentration, aid sporting/athletic performance, cultivate resilience.

The session is part theory part practical. Protocols will be given for you take away to start implementing healthy habits.

Tuesday 14th March: Increasing Sales with Frances Riseley

Frances has worked in retail for her entire career.  For the last 30 years she have worked as a consultant and trainer helping retailers improve their sales and profitability.  Known for her practical, yet inspirational, training that really transforms businesses and improves their profitability, her aims for the workshops are:

– Generate ideas and share case studies that will increase the sales and profitability of participating retailers

– Practical and suitable training for independent retailers that don’t have much time or money spare

– Encouragement and support for retailers in this difficult time

– Revitalisation of Newquay’s independent retailers and an increase in the viability and vibrancy of the town centre

– Minimisation of vacancies in Newquay

Frances always offers delegates the chance to call me or email after the workshops to discuss their specific situation and any detailed questions.

2pm & 5pm – 20 spaces in each session

Wednesday 15th March: First Aid Training with Kernow Training Solutions

This easy and engaging workshop will be informal so that Newquay businesses can engage as much or as little as they wish, depending on their needs. It will mainly cover CPR/AED and other minor important information such as calling for help and knowing how to recognise when someone is having a life-threatening emergency etc. 

10am, 2pm & 5pm – 15 spaces in each session

Thursday 16th March: Newquay Leisure World Activities 

Exclusively for BID members, why not join in with as many sessions as you’d like! Classes are as follows:

  • 9:30am – 10:15am: POWER PUMP (6 spaces)
  • 10:30am – 11:25am: PILATES (6 spaces)
  • 12:00pm – 1pm: GYM TASTER SESSION (8 spaces)
  • 5:30pm – 6:15pm: HIIT (3 spaces)
  • 5:30pm – 6:30pm: GYM TASTER SESSION (8 spaces)
  • 6:30pm – 7:15pm: GROUP CYCLE (3 spaces)

Friday 17th March: X-HAIL with Jessica Vella-Templeton 

X-HAIL: one class for ALL that you are! 

Connect mind, body and soul as you immerse in to your inner world with a unique fusion of modern mindfulness and meditation techniques against a backdrop of blissfully mixed music.

Carve out your own space for freedom with your own set of headphones, and give yourself permission to BE YOU as you are guided by flowing sequences of rhythmic yoga inspired movement, with music you know and love to deepen your experience.

Feel yourself become weightless with every breath linked to your movement and infused with decadent essential oil blends. This is your space to slow down, breathe deep and re-connect to your soul, leaving you with a distinctive after-glow of calm and confidence like no other!
