Intrepid bat hunters took the streets of Newquay this Halloween half term to seek out hidden bats in businesses around the town.

The competition, created by Newquay Business Improvement District (BID), involved children (accompanied by an adult of course) solving clues to find the hidden locations of the bats. Once all locations and bats were found, Halloween treats were awarded to the brave adventurers! Over 100 families took part in this year’s event.

The Bat Trail was developed by Newquay (BID) as a means of encouraging additional footfall throughout the town, increasing dwell time whilst interacting with businesses and giving families a fun activity to partake in during half term, and to encourage Halloween spirit in the run up to this year’s Zombie Crawl.
