Newquay Business Improvement District is inviting businesses in Newquay to take part in a spooky shop window competition over October half-term. The competition will be judged by a panel of esteemed and impartial judges, plus the residents of Newquay will have the chance to vote on social media for their favourite too.

First prize in the competition, asides from the prestige of having the best dressed window in town, will be £300 worth of advertising in the Newquay Voice, £100 of which has been kindly donated by the Newquay Voice themselves.

All of the entries will be posted on the Love Newquay Facebook page giving followers of the page the chance to vote for their favourite shop window. The number of likes on each image will be ranked and added to the judge’s final scores.

The competition will run from Friday 21st October, with judging taking place on Friday 28th October. To sign up your shop email info@newquaybid.co.uk, and your window should be dressed and ready for photographs on the morning of Friday 21st October.

The competition sits alongside other Newquay BID initiatives to encourage footfall to the town during half term; the Newquay Bat Trail runs during the week and the Zombie Crawl is taking place on Saturday 29th October. More details on these events can be found on the Newquay BID facebook page.
