Newquay BID are pleased to be running a winter parking promotional campaign, aimed at encouraging out of season visits and increasing footfall over these months. Newquay has so much to do and see over the winter months and with thanks to Cornwall Council, many car parks are now free!

Enjoy Newquay this winter, whether you’re surfing, shopping, walking or taking advantage of all the many excellent food and drink establishments, with free parking across the town in many of Newquay’s car parks.

From the 1st November, parking is free all day in some Newquay car parks including Albany Road, Atlantic Road, Belmont, Dane Road, Newquay Harbour, Pentire Headland, Towan Headland, Tregunnel and Trenance.

The winter parking tariff applies from the 1st November until the 31st March so make the most of what Newquay has to offer in the winter months.

Use Trenance carpark for Newquay Zoo, Waterworld, Heron Tennis Centre and the crazy golf / children’s park or stop at Pentire and Towan Headland for some great storm watching opportunities, coastal walks, pitch and putt and the nearby beaches and coffee-stops. Belmont and Dane Road carparks provides great access to some of Newquay’s finest hotels, restaurants and beaches and of course the Huer’s Hut, always a great photo opportunity.

Or come to Newquay for a great range of shops, including well-known high street chains and local independent retailers, and then stop off at the harbour for lunch or a winter walk on Towan beach.

For the town centre, the Mount Wise and St Georges Road carparks are only £1 all day (between 9am and 4pm) or you can use Tregunnel for free.

So, make the most of Newquay’s unique beach lifestyle this winter and enjoy free parking in many carparks until the 31st March 2018.

Newquay BID are pleased to be running a 5-month social media campaign targeting locals, surrounding areas and other towns within Devon and Cornwall. With banner adverts in the Newquay Voice and some air time with Radio Newquay, alongside local businesses displaying posters, Newquay BID are aiming to spread the word far and wide and would encourage others to spread the word too.

BID Manager, Carla – Marie Jones says; ‘Newquay has so much to see and do over the winter months and it’s a really special place to be – some say these months are the locals best kept secret and we agree! It would be great to see additional footfall throughout these months and people utilising the town centre and loving Newquay as much as we do! With lots of free car parking around Newquay, now is the perfect time to visit. We hope to increase day visits and draw in visitors from other Cornish towns whilst encouraging the locals to get out and about and really make the most of the free parking available.’

For any information about this campaign or to obtain some promotional material, please contact the BID office via email info@newquaybid.co.uk.
