Newquay Business Improvement District have replaced all the Love Newquay banners positioned in the town centre: at the bus station, in East Street and Cliff Road. The previous banners had become torn and unusable due to weather conditions and usage. Newquay BID have also changed the company who supply the banners and the new stock are made of a more durable and longer-lasting material that should cope much better with Newquay’s particular weather conditions.
There are 19 banners placed throughout the town with the Love Newquay logo on the front and reverse and the material is heavy-duty, fire-retardant welded PVC. The bunting in Gover Lane has also been replaced to the deterioration of the old stock. Both banners and the bunting are due to come down for the winter on the 31st October. Newquay BID would like to thank APS Construction Services LTD for the installation and removal of both the banners and the bunting.
The Love Newquay banners and bunting are part of BID’s priority area to create a more welcoming town centre for both residents and visitors to the town to enjoy: projects within this area include co-funding 120 hanging baskets throughout the town in partnership with Newquay Town Council, working closely with Newquay in Bloom to provide high impact and attractive flower beds and other planting schemes and graffiti removal throughout the town centre.
