Newquay BID’s Annual Business Week returns for 2019 with another 5 days packed full of inspiring, informative and innovative sessions to help businesses in Newquay and surrounding areas thrive and grow. Last year saw over 800 tickets sold and hundreds of businesses attend. The week is organised by Newquay BID as a key part of the second term business plan to support businesses in the town.
Newquay BID’s Business Week will be held from Monday 12th to Friday 18th October. Get this date firmly in your diaries as it is a week to not be missed. The full schedule will be announced in the next few weeks, and the online booking system on Event Brite will be available shortly. Full details will be released on the Newquay BID website, the new business week website and social media and will feature in Newquay Voice.
The week will offer visitors access to advice and resources from influential speakers to help nurture and grow not only their companies, but also Newquay as a destination town for businesses to be based, visit and grow. From pioneering start-ups to larger enterprises, all businesses, no matter their size, are invited to attend any of the sessions taking place throughout the week.
Sessions will cover a wide range of topics, from branding and social media, to international sales, the impact of Brexit, marketing and growth and everything in between, and will be hosted by Cornish speakers who are recognised as some of the best in their fields. This year will see some smaller, hands on training provided alongside the keynote sessions as well as networking breakfasts and lunches and a small business fair.
Carla – Marie Jones, BID Manager explains; “We were delighted with the huge success of last year and all businesses who came along learned a lot and had the chance to meet other businesses. There is always room for improvement and this year we are excited to really raise the bar! We attracted business owners and names from the whole of Cornwall and really started to put Newquay on the business map. This year we will continue to drive that forward and for all those that said ‘I wish had had gone’ last year – now is your chance. Newquay is a hub of entrepreneurs and exciting business people and Newquay BID is committed to supporting their growth in the town. It would be great to see more BID member businesses in attendance this year and we are hoping the new networking meetings will be able to provide a platform for all businesses to meet new connections. The event offers discounted tickets to all BID members. Keep your eyes peeled for the discount code in the next newsletter.’
Sessions will be held in several venues across Newquay, showcasing the great business and conference venues Newquay has to offer.
