The next of Newquay Business Improvement District’s FREE upskilling sessions is set to take place on Friday 12th March 2021 at 2pm. Open to all Newquay BID member businesses, the workshop, entitled ‘Get some AIR’ will be expertly facilitated by Adam Pearson, founder of Newquay Hypnotherapy who will provide useful techniques and tips for businesses to better cope with change and stress, and stay calm, confident and in control, even whilst under pressure.

Accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Adam trained with the Clifton Practice in Bristol, the headquarters of solution focused hypnotherapy in the UK.  He established Newquay Hypnotherapy in 2016. Certified wellbeing specialist, Adam has a background in management and youth development and volunteers regularly with The Wave Project, helping young people to reduce their anxiety levels and develop confidence through surfing, as well as running a number of local community health groups.

This unique 1.5-hour long workshop which has been organised by Newquay BID as part of a three-part series of upskilling sessions, is suitable for all BID levy-paying members regardless of industry or whether they are currently locked down or still trading. The objective of the session is to give Newquay businesses techniques that they can draw upon whenever they feel they need to.

It will explore how they can tap into their natural abilities for coping with change, challenge and stress, for the benefit of themselves, their staff, their businesses and communities.  Attendees will understand the science of calm, confidence and control and will learn powerful techniques for applying this knowledge. It will also offer businesses a chance to reflect, network with likeminded businesses and develop an action plan for future personal and professional success.

Founding director of Newquay Hypnotherapy, Adam Pearson said, “Sometimes, we all feel like we just need some air, particularly during these unprecedented times where there has been such an abundance of change in our lives. I can guarantee that those who attend the ‘Get some AIR’ workshop will leave equipped with well-defined steps to put into action immediately, as well as feeling positive, motivated and better connected. No preparation is required in advance and no hypnosis will be involved. The session will involve some interaction but there will be no requirement for individuals to share personal or business information. I so look forward to meeting with Newquay-based businesses, albeit virtually and gifting some of my knowledge.”

Carla-Marie Jones, Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) Manager, said, “Our last upskilling session with Frances Riseley, ’20 Marketing Ideas for Independent Retailers in Newquay’, went really well and participants took a lot from it. We are delighted to have some top talent facilitating these Newquay BID upskilling workshops and Adam’s session on Friday 12th will be equally inciteful. Mental wellbeing is such a hot topic now and it’s more important than ever to build up our resilience and learn coping strategies to utilise during difficult times. We would encourage interested BID-member businesses to sign up for this session in advance as it will, no doubt be a popular one.”

Carla continued, ‘’It is so important for us to ensure Newquay businesses have year-round access to as much knowledge and development opportunities, so they can continue to shine and lead the way long into the future. We are keen to hear from you about any future topics that you believe your business would benefit from over the coming months. Please do keep talking and let us know your ideas. We really want you to benefit from these and as always, we are here to help. Keep an eye on our social media channels to see the future sessions.”
