21st – 23rd December 2012

With live music, an amazing array of local ales and a great new location in the town centre, Newquay’s fantastic family-friendly Music and Ale Festival is back.

After a two year break, the festival is returning for 2012 on 21-23 December. With a fantastic new set-up on the Piazza, opposite the Lighthouse cinema, festival-goers will be protected from the elements under a large marquee. The event will kick off at 11am each day, with music favourites such as the Belfast Busker and Adam Parfait and other events keeping the crowds entertained until 11pm.

Bars, pubs and licensed cafes around Newquay will be taking part in the ‘Ale Trail’ on all three days, which will offer festival-goers the chance to sample real ales while enjoying the family-friendly festive atmosphere of Newquay town centre.

The three-day event has been funded by Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) and managed by the town’s own Bare Feet  Promotions, who previously organised the festival.

BID Manager Eve Wooldridge said: “We’re delighted that the festival is back for Christmas 2012 and are confident that the programme of live music and unique festival spirit will be a great opportunity for Newquay to shine. The event has changed location this year to showcase the fantastic new Piazza space, which is perfect for performances and events of all kinds. We hope that local people and visitors alike will come on down, sample the wonderful ales and enjoy the music.”
