Newquay’s high street retailers are uniting to take the stress out of your late night shopping, by staying open until 8pm on Friday 30th November to ensure that Christmas shopping in Newquay couldn’t be easier this year.

Newquay BID hopes to increase foot fall into the town and welcomes business and residents alike to join in with the festive fun and support their local high street by putting Newquay on the map as a Christmas late night shopping destination.

Dance your way through your Christmas shopping to a fantastic Samba Band and embrace the true spirit of Newquay’s Seaside Christmas season. With the combination of real reindeer, Festive food and craft market, street entertainers and Fireworks, Newquay promises to create a magical and warming late night Christmas shopping experience that all the family will enjoy.

Whether you’re searching for unique crafts at the BID’s first Festive Food and Craft Market, or the perfect gift for a budding surfer dude or mini fashionista, there is a fantastic selection of shops from national high street retailers to independents, all guaranteed to meet all of your Christmas shopping needs.

Eve Wooldridge, BID Manager says “So far the reaction that we have had for the late night shopping event has been excellent. Businesses have been really getting involved and are planning in-store events to make the evening extra special for their customers. It’s really important that we support our high street during this time of year and a late night shopping event is the perfect way to do this”.

Paul Metcalfe from Prego says “We watched the lantern parade come past last year and wished that Newquay had a late night shopping event, so this year we are delighted that the BID has put on the festive festival. We will be doing a special homemade menu of hot turkey, cranberry and stuffing baguettes, mince pies with clotted cream, all washed down with mulled wine to get customers into the festive spirit”
