Newquay BID’s Zombie Crawl returns, bigger and better than ever.
Families in Newquay are invited to join BID’s Zombie Crawl event on Saturday 28th October. This free Halloween event organised by BID is open to children (aimed especially at ages 5-16) and their families: spooky fancy dress and make-up is very much encouraged and this year there is even more to enjoy in the town throughout the day.
The event starts with Titan performing at the Piazza opposite the Lighthouse Cinema at 1pm. Then there is a fun family disco at the Cribbar, Gover Lane – there will be free face painting and also a dance workshop put on by Newquay’s Unity Dance and Mind at 2pm. The Zombie Crawl itself starts at 3pm from Gover Lane, accompanied by a suitably Halloween-themed soundtrack! Throughout the parade there will be stilt walkers, scary statues, street dancers and the creepy campervan photo booth and there will be spooky dance performances going on at various locations in the town centre. The parade finishes at the Hotel Victoria where there is a family party from 3.30pm, an amazing acrobatic display at 5pm and Titan performing again at 6pm.
Carla-Marie Jones, Newquay BID manager, says that “We are looking forward to the sixth Zombie Crawl – the event has been growing every year and in 2017 the Crawl is bigger and better than ever before. BID hopes that even more families and children will join us for the day as there’s so much going on in the town from morning till night and we can’t wait to see the ghoulish fancy dress!
All children aged under 16 taking part in the Zombie Crawl must be accompanied by at least one adult. For more information, contact info@newquaybid.co.uk or call 01637 498599. You can also visit the Newquay BID website for details.
