Children of Newquay are invited to join the BID’s free Zombie Crawl on Saturday 29th October a freakishly fun Halloween event. Wearing gory get-ups and ghoulish glad-rags they will parade through the town in a spook-tacular Hallowe’en extravaganza.
Newquay BID hosts the annual event, now in its fifth year. With a spooky zombie parade, ghastly dancing, freakish face-painting, spooky stiltwalkers and eerie entertainers, plus an appearance from the ever popular Titan the Robot, the BID expects 2016 to be even bigger and better than last year.
Children aged 5 to 16 are encouraged to join in the ghoulish fun, which will start with a first appearance from Titan at 1.30pm on Newquay’s Piazza opposite the Lighthouse Cinema. At 2pm devilish ghouls are invited to The Chy Bar & Koola, for some zombie-tastic dancing from Trio Dance Company. There will also be face painting in Whiskers coffee bar. At 3pm the parade will begin, along Bank Street and East Street, to a scarily fun Halloween soundtrack. The parade will finish at the Hotel Victoria for more ghastly goings-on; another live performance from Titan the Robot at 4.45pm, more dance and live entertainers, plus you can have your photo taken in the creepy, but very cool campervan photo-booth. The Hotel Victoria will also be hosting a children’s disco after the final Titan show, with lots of fun and games for all.
Gemma Taylor, Newquay BID Manager says: “We are looking forward to yet another awesome Zombie Crawl this year, and can’t wait to see families and children in their fancy dress parading through the town centre, and hope to see more people than ever taking part for this year’s Halloween celebration. The previous Zombie Crawls were a huge success and great fun for children and families!”
Gemma continues: “We would also like to invite businesses in Newquay, that are holding their own Hallowe’en events on this weekend, to let us know so we can promote them alongside the BID’s Zombie Crawl, to see a bumper Halloween weekend for the town. Please email me at info@newquaybid.co.uk with information about your events.”
All children taking part in the Zombie Crawl must be accompanied by an adult.
