We are already in the planning stages for Love Newquay Week Friday 24th October to Sunday 1st November, the Zombie Crawl on the 31st October and the Festive Festival Friday 27th to Sunday 29th November. We are looking for businesses to get involved in these events in a number of different ways and are asking that businesses come forward that will be able to meet the required needs.

Love Newquay Week

Taking place over October half term we will be holding a series of free workshops throughout the town in different businesses encouraging extra foot fall in to businesses over the week.

We are looking for 7-10 businesses that would be willing to host a work shop, last year some of the workshops included Pavlova making, live music and pirate workshops. We are able to offer a small contribution of £50-£75 towards each workshop so if you have an idea of how you’d like to get involved please email alice.beard@newquaybid.co.uk.

Zombie Crawl

Titan the Robot Venues – Last year’s turn out for Titan the Robot was tremendous and as he will be returning this year we are looking for two businesses in the Bank Street/Towan area and Cliff Road area of Newquay that may be able to accommodate the performances. Last year there were approximately 600 people in the parade so we would ask that each venue be able to accommodate approximately 400 people plus have adequate space for the performance. If you think you may be able to host one of the two performances please get in contact by emailing alice.beard@newquaybid.co.uk.

Face Painting Venues – in addition to this we will also be looking for a number of venues to host face painting work shops throughout the day. Plus if you have any events taking place throughout the day then please let us know so we can include it in our programme of events.

Festive Festival

This year we are hoping that the BID’s Festive Festival will even bigger and better than last year with the involvement of even more schools in the lantern parade.

If you would like to get involved in the lantern parade we may be able to accommodate this so please let us know. We want to involve as much of the community as possible.

Work shop venues – throughout the weekend we will be looking for businesses to host a series of festive workshops.

Christmas Trail and Shop Window Competition – If you would like to take part in the shop window competition, Christmas Trail or any of the events mentioned in this article please contact alice.beard@newquaybid.co.uk

Summer Events

The BID is proposing a programme of events for the Killacourt and Cliff Road to increase foot fall into certain areas of the town during the six weeks of Summer. If you have any suggestions or thoughts of events that could be successful please let us know.

Supported Events

Newquay BID is supporting a number of community events this summer, events such as Newquay Carnival Week, the Newquay Bay Hop Biathlon and Newquay Fish Festival are always looking for ways in which local businesses can get involved whether this be through sponsorship of the event or taking part in the events. If you would any more information about these events please call us in the BID office or email us.
