Newquay BID has been instrumental in encouraging new events and better event promotion in Newquay since 2011 so that all areas of the town benefit from additional footfall. The BID has hosted and supported many events in the last four years and has many returning this year.

This year the BID is once again supporting the Fish Festival, Miracle Theatre’s performance at the Headland Hotel, the Fistral Night Surf, Newquay Carnival Week and Art8 Newquay’s Art & Culture Festival.

The BID is also supporting new events for the first time this year such as St Piran’s Day which will be taking place this Thursday. Newquay BID has invested money into help market the event as well as offering support towards the running and organisation of the event.

Taking place on 19th to 22nd March the Approaching Lines International Festival of Surf will be taking place in Newquay for the second year in a row. Last year the event was split between Newquay and Falmouth however due to the BID’s involvement the event will be based solely in Newquay.  The BID has also contributed funding towards the marketing of the Jo Way Paddle for Life event taking place at Newquay Harbour this June.
