The East Street business community have been working closely with Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) to create its first Christmas event: Eastside Yuletide. The event will take place on Saturday December 14th 2024. Some of the activities will be held outside the Post Office on East Street and businesses up and down the street will be getting involved in the festivities too!
Highlights of the day’s events include a dog festive fancy dress competition (judging at 4pm with prizes donated by The Pet Centre!), American Football games held by Cornwall Dukes Youth American Football Team, an elf-on-a-shelf treasure hunt across the street and live music from The Velvets and Orchard Voices!
This family friendly event is free to come and enjoy and funded and coordinated by Newquay BID and the East Street businesses.

BUSINESSES JOINING THE FESTIVITIES
All Things Cornwall: We’ll be carrying out tasters of some of our lines – cheese, crackers, relishes, peanut butters, Christmas biscuits, and some of the alcohol lines to name a few and a hamper giveaway!
Rolling Joe: We’ll be offering tattoo walk-ups, budget friendly temporary tattoos and festive drinks!
Ginger & Joe: We’ll have mulled wine and warm apple to enjoy whilst you soak up some festive cheer!
